Hidden Computation, Real Consequences: Weird Machines and the Security of Critical Infrastructure
CEC 2026 September Seminar Announcement
We are excited to kick off our Fall Seminar Series with Dr. Meera Sridhar, Associate Professor in the Department of Cybersecurity at the University of North Carolina Charlotte and Founder and Director of the Center for Energy Security and Reliability (CESAR). Through CESAR, Dr. Sridhar leads a multi-institution, multi-million-dollar research initiative focused on advancing the security, resilience, and reliability of critical energy infrastructure.
In her seminar, Dr. Sridhar will present a formal framework for discovering weird machine primitives before they can be exploited by adversaries and will discuss why this proactive approach is increasingly critical for protecting energy systems.
